Official setup & operations guide · October 2026

Meet Nali.
Make her work for you.

Set up your AI Marketing Director, connect your business, review her recommendations and control what she can do on your behalf.

Nali is in development. Screens, connected services and autonomous capabilities may vary by build. A connected account does not necessarily mean data synchronization or campaign execution is available.

1. Get started

  1. Install the Nali test or release build provided to you.
  2. Open Nali and review any AI Data & Privacy permission prompts before using AI features.
  3. Open Settings and review your operating mode, AI connection and platform connections.
  4. Configure available device authentication and do not share access to your phone or credentials.
  5. Start with Marketing Manager mode while learning the app.

2. Connect your AI

  1. Obtain an OpenAI API key from your own OpenAI API account. API billing is separate from a ChatGPT subscription.
  2. Open Settings → AI Connection → Nali · OpenAI API Key.
  3. Paste the key and tap Save Key.
  4. Confirm the screen says Key Saved. If website connection fails, follow the on-screen message; the device save may still have succeeded.

Use only your own credentials. Never post keys in email, screenshots, support tickets or public repositories. OpenAI API usage can incur charges.

3. Set up your businesses

  1. Open the business profile or business management area available in your build.
  2. Enter your business name, industry, website and contact details.
  3. Describe your products or services, ideal customers, service area and business goals.
  4. Add accurate pricing, costs and margins when supported, so recommendations can consider profitability.
  5. Use Site Intelligence to review your public website when available. Verify any research before acting on it.

If you operate several businesses, keep each brand’s offers, budgets, audience and approvals separate.

4. Connect marketing platforms

Google Ads

  1. In Settings, find Ad Platform → Google Ads.
  2. Enter your Google Ads developer token, Customer ID, OAuth Client ID, Client Secret and Refresh Token. Enter a Manager Customer ID only when applicable.
  3. Tap Connect Google Ads to verify the credentials.
  4. Confirm the connected status before configuring any authorized campaign work.

Google Ads credentials are intended to be encrypted in a per-device server vault; the app clears secret entry fields after a successful connection. Google Ads API access and permissions must be properly configured in your own Google account.

App Store Connect

  1. Open Settings → Product Connections → App Store Connect.
  2. Follow the connection screen and provide the Apple credentials requested there.
  3. Check the connection status. The current Settings screen explicitly notes that app metadata and performance synchronization are not yet enabled in that build.

Other platforms

Apple Ads, Shopify, Amazon and other integrations should only be treated as active when the installed build shows a working connection and the corresponding feature is verified. A website URL may be used for research without giving Nali permission to edit that site.

5. Choose how Nali operates

Marketing Manager — Run the Business OFF

Nali focuses on marketing research, planning, drafting, analysis and recommendations. Use this as the starting mode.

Business Director — Run the Business ON

This enables the broader business operating mode locally. Turning it on does not itself authorize autonomous actions. Open Autonomy Controls and save your server-side authority policy before any permitted autonomous execution. Actual actions remain subject to connected accounts, implementation and policy restrictions.

You remain in control. Review what Nali is allowed to do, spending limits, approval requirements and any action history before enabling broader authority.

6. Your daily operating routine

  1. Research: Review audience, competitors, market conditions and business performance.
  2. Plan: Ask Nali for priorities, campaigns, content ideas or leads relevant to your business.
  3. Review: Check claims, source links, expected costs, target audience and creative material.
  4. Execute: Approve supported actions through the controls available in your build. For unsupported actions, carry them out manually.
  5. Measure: Compare actual results against ad spend, conversions, revenue and profit.
  6. Adjust: Refine the next plan using verified results rather than assumptions.

Suggested prompts: “Review my business profile and identify missing information.” “Suggest three low-budget marketing experiments.” “Summarize which campaigns need my approval.”

7. Budgets, approvals & safeguards

  1. Open Settings → Run the Business → Autonomy Controls.
  2. Choose the permitted operating mode and review the server-side policy.
  3. Set available spending and action restrictions before authorizing any real-world work.
  4. Require review for purchases, campaign changes, customer-facing messages and other consequential actions unless you have deliberately configured otherwise.
  5. Inspect available approval and action records regularly. Pause or revoke permissions if behavior differs from your intent.

Never assume a campaign has launched or a customer message has been sent until the connected provider confirms it.

8. Security & privacy

Nali’s current Settings implementation saves the OpenAI key on the iPhone with SecureStore and attempts to save a website credential to an encrypted vault. Connected provider credentials may be stored in an encrypted server vault to support authorized operations. This means Nali is not a strictly server-free application.

Review Settings → AI Data & Privacy to inspect or withdraw AI processing permission. Use Remove Saved Key or provider disconnect controls when needed. Review the Privacy Policy and Terms for details.

9. Troubleshooting & support

AI features do not respond

Check AI processing consent, your saved API key, API account billing and network access. Reopen the app and retry. Do not share the full key when asking for help.

Google Ads connection fails

Verify your developer token, account ID, OAuth credentials, refresh token and permissions. Check any error shown by Nali before retrying.

App Store Connect is connected but shows no metrics

The current Settings screen says metadata and performance synchronization are not enabled yet. Connection alone does not provide metrics.

Run the Business does not execute tasks

Check Autonomy Controls and server authority policy. Confirm the requested action is supported and the provider is connected.
